I breastfeed my almost 7 month baby ( she refuses bottle of expressed milk) and we also co-sleep. We were in a great wee routine until a few weeks ago where she now wont sleep without me. Everytime she wakes, which can be as much as every hour during night, I have to breastfeed her back to sleep. Hubby now sleeping in spare room as he was exhausted. If I sneak out the room when I think she is in a deep sleep she wakes 5/10 mins later and so the whole process starts again. Ive started going to bed with her at 8 but I cant maintain this. I really just want to know, is this normal? Or is this something Ive created and should be trying to fix it? I know you must get a million emails from parents, just looking for a little reassurance if at all possible as Im the only woman in family to have breastfed so constantly getting told to leave her to cry it out / settle herself.
