I can easily form my own opinions on military operations based on what I read and learn, and come up with my own ideas about what I think should happen. But the reality is that I am in no way whatsoever an authority or expert in military operations and affairs. And honestly, neither are the majority of the people in the world who have offered up opinions on what happened between Israel and Gaza this past summer. So, when people like Colonel Richard Kemp, the former commander of British Forces in Afghanistan, and General Martin Dempsey, U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff offer their insight into these matters... we would be foolish not to pay attention. These men are both experts and authorities on military operations from two different armies. And yet both men have separately come to the same conclusion that Israel went to extraordinary lengths to limit civilian casualties. Personally, I find that their conclusions hold a lot more clout than whatever the SJP (Students for Justice in Palestine) and other groups have been shouting. gatestoneinstitute.org/4570/gaza-civilian-casualties P.S. History has shown us that groups/governments committing genocide dont typically take the time to limit their civilian casualties.
