I can only speak from personal experience but my step kids, nieces and nephews will tell you that the guy in camo is just like Sams dad without the looks, Diesel size and expensive clothes! Trying not to show fear because hes taking this Leprechaun threat very seriously, Tony would feel hes the only one tough enough, smart enough, and qualified enough due to his memorization of the Bible cover to cover and his superior fighting skills, to protect the citizens of his neighborhood while warding off evil with a potion or two, carrying what he truly believes is an ancient artifact which was probably bought at Auto Zone, made to look old then sold to him for $500 - but he thinks he got a deal cause he talked them down from $800 - and all this while trying to sound very scientific using the biggest words he knows. This would make him the neighborhood hero, he would be protecting people, all while calculating the the fortune he could make touring the country with a dead leprechaun - which he would probably have his son Buggy do the actual killing cause he would need to direct from the ground in order to shout words like we come in peace or the power of Christ compels you while Buggy was fighting for his life with the creature trying not to fall out of the tree. Then once the creature was defeated Tony would look at it and even if it was a squirrel he would pronounce it a leprechaun and tell naysayers that he knows leprechauns because most of his family is Black Irish! So yes, I know just how this is going to play out in Mobile and I would pay to watch it cause its going to be hysterically funny!!
