I chaperoned Lukes 6th grade class trip to Eagle Bluff and like my own at his age its one Ill never forget. Their teachers put so much time, effort, energy, and love into making this 3 night adventure happen and I felt lucky to be a part of it. Out of 150 students on this trip, my friend Bob and I had a group of 16 wonderful kids who became friends, learned how to work as a team, encouraged each other, and made bonds that will last outside the classroom. I encourage anyone that has a chance to volunteer because it was one of the most rewarding experiences Ive had in a while. I dont know how teachers do it every day but I have a whole new level of appreciation for what they do for our children.
