I chose to send an Open Letter to my Home Owners community about INTENTIONAL Pet Poisoning by an alleged member of our own community. We have had both a dog in its own backyard and a cat that roams be poisoned. Fortunately, both human companions were able to receive emergency care to restore the health of their pet. I KNOW who this person is as awhile back they shared their anger and angst with me over the barking dog and visiting cat situation. As for the cat that visited their yard, they spoke of intentionally poisoning it to keep it from pooping in their backyard. Post haste I no longer allowed my cats to venture outdoors without my supervision and only when on my back patio. I have often feared the tossing of poison laced meat or treats over the fence and into my yard as a way to silence my dogs barking. This individual has informed me of my dogs constant barking when I am not present. Other neighbors I have asked tell me my dogs bark for a reason, but not constantly. I have installed electronic bark control and work with my dogs to keep them from unnecessary barking. Im no fan of barking dogs, either, yet I would never consider poisoning or hurting an animal for my inconvenience. Im amazed ...
