I co-wrote this song with a friend of mine, Sean Crain. I think I wrote all the lyrics and he helped me with the progression. I remember imagining what I would be like when I turned 40, and this is what I saw. I wrote it when I was about 17 years old, and I didnt record this until I was 45, a good 5 ½ years beyond the projected age of what the song suggests. However, I cant say that I was too far off in my prediction. At the age of 40 is when things took a turn for the worse for me, becoming partially, permanently disabled and going through one hardship after another, which still continues to this day unfortunately. Part of me believes that if I didnt have this outlet of music and./or writing, I may not be here today. This is song #210. REFLECTIONS OF MY MIND THE DAYS ARE EMPTY AND SO IS MY TIME. THE LIFE I LEAD, SO BLIND. A GENERATION BEGINS TO GROW. NOTHINGNESS IS WHAT I KNOW. FORTY YEARS AND I STILL CRY. TIME HAS PASSED ME BY. STILL I WONDER WHEN ILL GET BACK HOME, CAUSE IM HERE ALONE. ALL I WANT IS ALL I KNOW. ALL I FEEL IS WINTERS COLD. ALL I SEE IS WHAT I FIND. ITS HELD INSIDE REFLECTIONS OF MY MIND. THE LONESOME BREEZE I HAVE IN MY HEAD TELLS ME THAT I AM DEAD. BUT WHO IS DEATH TO THINK ITS RIGHT WHEN YOU STAND UP AND FIGHT? ALL I WANT IS ALL I KNOW. ALL I FEAR IS WINTERS COLD. ALL I SEE IS WHAT I FIND. ITS HELD INSIDE REFLECTIONS OF MY MIND. (SOLO) I WANDER AND ROAM TO PLACES I GO. THE OLD FOLKS SAY HELLO. I AM WELCOMED AND HERE ILL STAY. FOREVER AND EVER ILL PRAY. OO! Written by Wayde K. Brown & The Santairs (Sean B.
