I couldnt be more proud to be with my husband Jon Szczepanski tonight as he gets inducted into the WI Soccer Hall of Fame as a player. I fell in love with him as a player, not because of his amazing athletic abilities, but because hes the most honorable and humble man on the field. I would be in the stands by myself as I waited for my husband who would always stay and sign his signature to anybody who asked, even if the game was a bad loss and he wanted nothing more than to leave. He is so grateful for what the game of soccer, his coaches and teammates gave him and so he gives back to todays kids as a coach. As a teacher I know many amazing teachers, but my husband is one of the best of them all as he teaches more than the game, but he teaches character and integrity. Weve been stopped endless times by former players of his who want to thank him for the impact hes had on them. Its no wonder I fell in love with him then and continue to do so today. I love you, honey!!
