I created this meter - I set $2000 as a goal and that is to keep my hopes up. If I set a much larger goal, I might become discouraged and I am trying to remain positive. The basic cost to feed and care for the two large cat colonies is $500 per month, $6,000 per year. This does not include flea treatments, medical and emergency needs that come up. And it does not include the cost of Tommy and his Stomatitis, which is quite expensive. Since September 27, 2014 - $60 has been raised, along with the expectation of a 3.5 cu ft chest freezer so that I can fix a homemade diet for Tommy. I am thankful :)
