I decided to put a roast in the crock pot this morning early so we could have it for dinner. I smelled that wonderful aroma all day long. Got my mashed potatoes, peas and rolls finished and sat down to eat with my family. About 5 minutes of eating that wonderful tasting roast beef, I realized I had just swallowed a piece that was stuck in my throat. Not to cause a panic at the dinner table, I began drinking large amounts of tea. To no avail, I decided to walk outside to see if it would go on down my throat. That didnt work either, so I decided to go to my neighbors house, by the time I got them to the door, I couldnt speak I started throwing up on their back porch, from lack of air, I guess. Luckily both of my sweet neighbors served in the Marines, Ryan grabbed me, lifted me up off the ground and performed the Heimlich maneuver on me and the meat went down. Needless to say, I was embarrassed, Lindsey thought I just wanted Ryan, I told her I guess I just needed a hug. LOL I told them if I show up on their doorstep looking ill, it is serious. I am very stubborn and independent and try not to ask for help, this time I can thank God for good neighbors.
