I demand that Bharat be renamed as Charandesh.!! Chaudhary Charan Singh was a great kisan leader who chose to became finance minister and home minister in Morarji Desai cabinet only to serve kisans. Chaudhary Charan Singh was a great leader who in 1977 helped in dethroning Indira Gandhi (of black emergency notorioty) and then showed tremendous character of betraying the then PM Morarji Desai and exhibited amazing magnanimity of accepting support of same Indira Gandhi to become PM. This sacrifice was also done to serve kisans better. This act of betrayal was so great that no other leader could repeat it for 34 years till another great leader Kejriwal took support of Congress to become CM in 2013. His greatness was also acknowledged when he resigned without facing trust motion after same Indira Gandhi expectedly withdrew support. It is shocking that we have only one Kisan Ghat spread in 15 acres as his memorial and just one university (Meerut) renamed as Chaudhary Charan Singh Univeristy and just one airport (Amausi Lucknow) renamed as Chaudhary Charan Singh Airport. It is high time we the ungrateful people of India paid due respect recognition and honour to our great leader by renaming India, that is Bharat as Charandesh. Only then Indian public can feel assured of getting uninterrupted supply of water & electricity.
