I did contribute to one important victory. Along with all of the activists who worked so long and hard on it, Humboldt Countys Measure P, our GMO growing ban, won: 59% to 41% with all of Humboldt Countys 107 precincts reporting. Something similar in Maui, however, was defeated by Monsanto who spent more money defeating it than was spent by anybody to fight an initiative in Hawaii. Thank you all so much to the Measure P activists! Now lets take down Monsanto. Why not start by making the first contributions in the nation for a 2016 campaign? Congressman Huffman has now won $350,000 from the taxpayers over the next two years to do nothing more in Congress than to express our values. Huffman will now go four years without getting a single bill passed. Two years from today his impact will be as little as if today he got beamed into space by Dale Mensing-lookalike aliens and was never heard from again. Huffmans hubris is almost as great as Mensings. Please contribute to getting me back on the road January 1 as I campaign against Monsanto and organize a year of direct actions against fossil fuel operations of all kinds, fracking to mountaintop removal. Ive already made a difference in GMOs (BBC World Historic Figure for shutting down globally GMO atmospheric microbe releases) and freeing 100s of thousands of marijuana prisoners from federal prison, thanks to my influence two years ago on Obama and Holder. Caffrey for Congress 2016! Caffrey for President 2016! CaffreyForCongress.org/donate Update: The Maui anti-GMO initiative defeated $7 million from Monsanto! Awesome! Great going folks! A Maui County ballot initiative to temporarily ban genetically engineered crops narrowly passed Tuesday following one of the most heavily financed political campaigns in state history. The controversial measure pulled ahead late Tuesday, passing 50 percent to 48 percent — a difference of just 1,077 votes. It was a stunning turnaround after the measure was initially losing by 19 percent when the first results rolled in.
