I did it. Committed to a wheelchair. $200 with a fitted butt-pad and a carrier bag that goes on the back of the chair. I dont like the idea -- but I am going apeshit just sitting in the house. This way, I can toss the chair in the car and take myself to Farmers Market or street festivals or whatever where there might be lots of walking. Insurance was no help. Too many hoops to jump through -- -- doctor appointment (more $$ and time), submit to insurance, wait a couple of weeks for final okay from insurance (which they still might deny), and very little help after deductible. But what the hell. This way, it should be here by early next week. The freedom and my mental health are worth the stretch.
