I didnt have the privilege of growing up with my dad. He missed - TopicsExpress

I didnt have the privilege of growing up with my dad. He missed seeing me as a teenager, a cheerleader, my first date, my first drive, my first car, a HS graduate, a Nursing graduate, walking me down the aisle as a bride, a nurse, a teacher, a Bible College graduate, a homeowner, a pastors wife, my happy times, my sad times...dont tell me Im spoiled!! Dont say Ive been given everything I wanted all my life! Dont tell me anything like that. You will strike a nerve that can talk and debate. Ive worked since i was 16. If you want to say something just say Im blessed! My Heavenly Father took over in the place of my daddy. (Psalm 27:10) At least I didnt become a rebellious defiant loose young lady. I kept it together in the midst of a broken home through faithfulness in God and a Christian mother who was faithful and remained my mother until I was married then she became my friend. Dont tell me Im spoiled. Some people dont know what it feels like to grow up in a broken home..to have your dad...or mom snatched away from you suddenly...under age 18...I do! If you know a teen who comes from a broken home... remember this...although they may be smiling during her or his accomplishments or happy times...be there...be an encouragement to them..go see them cheer..go see them graduate...go to their wedding...give them a call...give them a birthday gift...get off your selfish kick...all the while she or he is smiling remember she or he is also hurting deeply from the absence of that missing parent. I am so tired of critical insensitive people. We need to be there for these teenagers no matter what. Encouragement goes a long ways. If you cant say something nice then REMAIN SILENT!! OTHERWISE I WILL HAVE TO SAY...YOU MUST BE JEALOUS!! Galations 6:7. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
