I discovered were getting 2 new subchannels tonight, both of which show movies -- ooh! LOL! We now get some new channel called GRIT which declares itself TV with backbone. In other words, macho hero movies. Im rolling my eyes at that idea, but they did have a couple good movies on tonight. When I found this channel tonight it was showing some movie where I immediately recognized it was filmed in The Bradbury Building in L.A., as in the Blade Runner building -- ooh! It was a Charles Bronson movie called Murphys Law, which I had never seen before, and which may have gotten some plot ideas from Blade Runner, but never mind -- LOL! The other movie I watched was Tightrope with Clint Eastwood, which Ive seen a few times before, and which is very dated at this point, unfortunately. I mean, I think some of those murders could have been prevented just because we now have cell phones -- LOL! Not to mention its portrayal of women -- oh dear. The killer was trying to strangle Genevieve Bujold and she stabbed him a couple of times with her scissors but then she just stood there and waited for him to recover and start strangling her again -- argh! LOL! The other channel is the Escape network which when I looked it up advertised itself as Murder, Lies, Alibis. Hopefully theyll have some good movies too. They were showing Basic Instinct tonight while I was watching the GRIT channel (LOL!).
