I do not condone what the EFF did in the week, but one has to try - TopicsExpress

I do not condone what the EFF did in the week, but one has to try and understand WHAT drove them to do this. The fist sentence in this article actually provides the answer. The right to freedom - the EFF have a right to wear (what they consider their uniform) to the legislature. The ANC, in their drive to show who is in power, then prevents the EFF from entering the Legislature by using an outdated rule that says that the decorum of the house must be preserved. The irony of this situation is that there are so many corrupt politicians and members of the ANC in the Legislature and Parliament, who are dressed in the appropriate clothing, but have been involved in so many shenanigans, that one is left to wonder: is it really about the dress code, or is it all about who is the boss? Personally for me, how you dress, has no bearing on your character. Mandela dressed for the occasion, and frequently wore his famous shirts in front of VIPs and royalty. Steve Jobs, presented the latest iPhone and other gadgets to a world audience, dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. No one cared about his clothes - the content of his message was what everyone wanted to hear.
