I dont buy quinoa. A couple of years ago, I read about the problem being created for the native people in the Bolivian Andes. The surge in popularity of quinoa and subsequent export of their main source of nutrition to the US means they can no longer afford to eat the very thing that sustained them because it was cheap and accessible for eons. I made the decision that my family will get of what it needs from domestically sourced grains like brown rice, barley and oats.
