I dont have any illusions that this will happen overnight or that it will not take dedication and the communities backing. We have to start by getting the animal shelter to work closely with the rescue groups. To be an entity of inclusion not exclusion. I speak from experience, I was on the so called shelter board. I wanted to do something to help the city that I love and that my parents have dedicated their lives to support. I was shocked to see that they had not met in over a year and that we were cut off at the pass of everything we tried to do. There are a few people that I will not name at this time that are the problem. I will be calling for a summit of the rescue groups to find out first hand what their main concerns are and get you my friends to help make their needs happen.
