I dont know how many people are watching #maat on #zindagi but I (Probably after Nukkad on DD) started watching it, not only that but I have also seen the episode in advance on youtube and spoil it for the people by telling them whats happening in the next episode. Brilliant acting, awesome screenplay and IT ACTUALLY HAS AN END that too in 25 episodes!!!!I Having said that,I feel flabbergasted that it is probably most regressive thing I have ever seen including sonakshis thumke and thappad se darr . Long story short... Samans character whose primal desires are to have a good life ( money, cars , jewelry, travel ) are all linked to one thing and one thing only...Marriage. She marries people so that she can get all that...her desires are shown as negative traits whereas her sister who is actually tyag ki murti is shown as Devi who everybody adores except men in her life. Saman represents the modern woman of every society who wants more from life,take away the condition that she has to get married to get she want..... She would have gone and done what is required on her own . married a rich fool on her own. kicked his ass when he cheated that too on her own... Reason why India is in love with maat is not that we like the drama, but actually we are that regressive, we seek perfection in woman who sacrifices and the woman who dreams big will always be the vamp...
