I dont normally post about my relationship whether good bad or indifferent. Not because Im trying to hide it or who Im with or because Im ashamed of it because Im not, bit simply because Kim usually does that. She posts pictures and other encouraging things. That got me to thinking how that may or may not give the jump reason that shes all in love by herself and Im just here for the ride and thats simply not true. As I scroll through my time line I see friends of mine who at some point openly express love, appreciation, encouragement, and adoration for their spouse/significant other. With that said let me pause and take this moment to talk about, acknowledge, uplift, and brag on me and mine. Are we the perfect couple that had no struggles, tests, trials, hardships, arguments, and fights absolutely not and piggybacking on what Kim said earlier weve been to HELL and back. Have we give one another a reason to call it quits, say to hell with the relationship and friendship and move on to the next, yes we have but Im posting this to tell to that we didnt. Because amidst all that we found the ONE reason we needed to stay and fight...EACH OTHER. Have we gone through some unnecessary issues and drama (sometimes on my own account to my admittance) dear God yes but were still here. Is everyday sunshine and rainbows nope, do we have bad days, sure sure we do but the good ones far exceed and outweigh the bad ones. I painted that picture so you can understand that tough times come to any relationship and effect anyone even those couples that are perceived perfect. Now on to the good stuff, the reason I keep going and fighting, the reason I know I have a good woman. Shes got a deep unshakeable and unbreakable relationship with God. She goes to him on not only her own behalf, but on behalf of her family, me, our relationship, her friends, and even my family. She has a heart thats as big as the world and as pure as gold. She may be hot and spicy at times but if she calls you friend then you never have to wonder if she has your back or where her loyalties lie. When you see us out and about whether at church, a store, or wherever you see us and you see a smile or happiness its genuine. When you see her post things, pictures, and what not and you see the smiles its genuine. When your around us and you hear the laughter and even some of the bickering bickering and squabbling just know that it all comes from a genuine and real place. Did it happen overnight, no is it a cakewalk, no is it easy no. It took time, patience, perseverance, work and prayer.
