I dont often express very strong opinions or points of view as I understand there is no right or Wrong and we live in a world of unique individuals who have a completely individual perspective.... Yet I cannot ever express in words how much my heart breaks when I hear the TRUTH of what happened when we colonised this land.... I have complete compassion for our beautiful Indigenous people and I cannot even fathom their pain, suffering, trauma and the injustices inflicted upon them, by yes, our ancestors.... For everyone who wants to say it happened so long ago...and does not affect or have influence on people today, I say, educate yourself.... We have never properly educated ourselves on this topic.... We have never ever LISTENED properly to THEIR experience, their perspective... Yes, of course some of us have... Yet the collective...We easily put our head in the sand.. What we could have learned from these people, what we could have shared.... My heart just breaks.... We go on today about environmental damage and how we need to learn to go back to basics and sustainability.... HELLO..... Natural medicine and healing? Hello! Antidotes to depression and anxiety....? HELLO... never feel alone, connected to everything living, oneness (Indigenous teachings and understandings of their connection to the land) SUCH wisdom, SUCH intelligence.... I am astounded and ashamed at our utter lack of humility and our ignorance... I just want to cry.... And yes again, I know this is not everyone, but as a whole Australia, we HAVE failed.... I hope current and future generations will educate themselves properly and LISTEN.... LISTEN.... IMAGINE what we could learn.... IMAGINE the possibilities... Please.... Watch this...
