I dont post on here often... But, looking at the facts of prices, a box of trash bags costs between $10-$15 for 12-13 gallon capacity bags. Five Large PAYT bags only costs $10 netting a 30 gallon capacity each. Combined, that is 150 gallons. To reach that same capacity of 150 gallons with standard bags would take 13 bags. On average, with increased recycling, lets say 2 13 gallon bags are utilized for waste disposal per week. Under this theory, that is still 4 less gallons than a standard PAYT bag. So, in one month 4 large PAYT bags are used. That leaves one left over for the next month, thus only costing $10 per month for trash bags with one extra for the holidays when there will be more to throw out. Under a standard 13 gallon bag, this waste output amount is compounded with the increased amount of bags used in one month, and thus is more costly. So judging from the facts, it is actually cheaper in the long run to utilize the PAYT bags over standard bags.
