I experienced this today. I chimed in on a post (from a well-known atheist) that was largely geared toward discrediting healers. The poster did not get involved in the conversation. His followers, however, called me a fraud and a charlatan (and stated I took advantage of people by telling them only what the wanted to hear) after I revealed my belief (as a medium) that energy never dies. There was a great deal of name calling and verbal taunting. I refused to go there and said (more than once) that I respected the diversity in the conversation. Interestingly, many of the contributors were young (30 something) males. I was taken by the groups anger towards something they clearly dont understand or have prior experience with. There were some LIKES on some of my comments, mostly by females who didnt choose to comment.
