So, theres a story behind this. My friend and bandmate Eric and I went out to see the incomparable Austin Young this past Saturday night. Austin is approximately the same age as my own Austin -- meaning, hes not even old enough to drink, but hes playing out at clubs! (Remind me to tell you my Daddys story sometime! Im holding myself back from telling it right now!) As is his habit, Austin wandered out into the crowd several times during the night while playing. We were seated at the bar off to the side and pretty much out of his line of sight because the rest of the tables out front were full, but during his very last song of the night, he came to the side and played in front of us. Eric jumped up and whispered something in Austins ear. I asked him what he said, and he replied I told him he couldnt leave until he played some Led Zeppelin. This off-the-cuff request fulfillment, at the very end of a long, hard-working night, was the result of that quick request. Boy, do I love this kid!
