I feel like I was hit by a dump truck...oh we wait, we were! We were on our way home from my therapy in Nephi when we attempted to turn into the Gun Range at the River Dip. Before we could even turn off the road, a fully loaded dump truck rear-ended us at 50+ mph and sent us flying off the road down into the river bottom. Gar had angels with him and he kept the suburban upright and we finally came to a stop a ways down, with tamaracks for brakes. I am so thankful that we live in a great community. It was comforting to know all the EMTs and Fire and Rescue people Gar has trained with. A County Deputy we know well was in the area and was on scene in minutes and so helpful. The staff at the ER were all amazing and people I knew and trusted. We were very fortunate that the only thing totaled was the car. We ended up with just a bump on my head and some heavy duty whiplash and upper back soreness. Considering we were rear-ended by a loaded dump truck going down a steep grade at 50+ mph, its a miracle we didnt roll or sustain any major injuries. There are definitely angels among us and Im so thankful we are being watched over. Its been a rough day, but could have been so much worse. Perhaps the greatest blessing of all is that we decided to leave the kids home today. So much to be thankful for!
