I feel like the time has come to set some things going on in my life straight. This is in hopes that if you live in or around Guthrie, OK or communicate with, work with or are FB friends with anyone in my area that may have heard about what Im going to tell you that you will please listen to my side of what has become a nightmare. A week or so ago I rescued a little male Chi that had been on his own for at least a week that I can confirm and possible more. My initial intentions was to try to rescue the male dog he was hanging with. This took place at a very small trailer park a couple of miles from my home. Before I rescued this boy I, among another friend that actually lives in the place, talked to many folks to find out if anyone knew where he lived. No one did. I was at the trailer he stayed at at least 2 times a day and a couple of days it was 3times. He was always there, Always outside in the yard, and these were as early as 6am before work and as late as 10;30pm. I originally thought he lived at that particular home but found out later that he did not, and they had no idea where he did live. I kept thinking someone would come look for him but they never did. I fed, watered and gave treats to him each day. after a week of doing this I talked to the foster I work closely with and she said she would take him and find him a home. I took him to her late one evening. Suddenly a woman decided she was missing her dog and talked to the people where he had been for at least 1 week. They told her I had taken him and proceeded to give her my number I had left for them. I left it in case they needed anything for the other dog I originally went to try to gain the confidence of and 2 others in the house. She started calling me and leaving really ugly messages and I refused to call her back after that kind of stupidity. After a couple of days she found out somehow where I live and showed up. She proceeded to scream and cuss and called the police. They showed up and I told them my story. They agreed I had not stolen the dog. The officer was really nice and asked me that if the pup was still here and the rescue was willing to return him he would inform her there would be charges due. I told him Id talk to the folks and contact her or them in the next couple of days. At 6am my phone started ringing and continued 24 times throughout the morning. I then am notified that she has posted a picture of my car, house and license plate on a site in Guthrie. Telling everyone I was told to give her the dog back and that I stole it and was a horrible woman that will steal anyones dog. That post was eventually taken down but damage had been done. Today another post was put up on same site and tagged to another that this time had my actual address in it. Now im getting scared for my dogs and house. She told everyone that if they are missing a dog they need to come to my house to find it because Ive stolen it. That post has also been removed but more damage has been done. Again tonight she has posted again. This time showing my FB page. I have tried to contact the PD officer that was here the other night but he has not called me back. I DID NOT STEAL THIS WOMANS, OR ANYONE ELSE.S, DOG OR ANIMAL OF ANY KIND! She has lied to the police and on each post she has posted. She did not put up any signs or walk the neighborhood looking for him the 2nd day he was gone. If she had she would have found him on the next street over from where she lived. I am worried about my own dogs and now about my home. There are some crazy people out there that no one knows what they will do. I worry about my reputation with all my rescue friends and know that if I have to quit doing what I do it will break my heart. I have heard from some really great ladies that have heard about this before now and appreciate your support very much. If I thought this boy lived on the next street over and if someone had told me she was looking for him I would have immediately taken him home..Please believe that! I have locked my gate this evening for the first time in several years and will continue to do so until this is done with. That in itself makes me mad! I have only tried to do what is right for the animals that dont have a voice and I hope you all believe that. I hope that anyone that doesnt know me is willing to listen to my side of this crazy story and make your own decisions. Please dont hesitate to ask me any questions you have that will help you understand the entire truth.
