I feel so very honored to be an American Today. Not because of anything political, but because of those who were so willing to Serve and Sacrifice. I joined a Peace Time Army back in the 80s, with little threat of any combat until Desert Shield and Desert Storm. I have been so amazed by the young men and women who today continue to sign up, knowing that without a doubt they are going to be sent into harms way at some point. My father served and died on active duty, in fact I dont recall ever seeing him and have zero memories other than photos. What kind of country produces men and women who will raise their hand and stand in harms way for folks they dont know, nor will ever meet. I may voice my opinions about the direction of our government, but I hope to never cause anyone to doubt my pride in Our United States of America.
