I feel very bad for black people. After all of their history ( real history ) of abuse in the past , racism, slavery they finally had their coming out party and saw that Americans elected an African American President . Rightfully they felt intense pride swell up in each and every one of them. Many who grew up during the sixties remember the struggles for equality. Black and White water fountains,institutional racism existed in this country. If you were black you were limited in the schools that you could attend , you couldnt sit anywhere that you wanted to on your bus. I totally understand how they felt about the first African American President. He was their family their hope. When people attack him ( like me) I can understand how they feel. In their minds it is a personal attack against them as well. When elected he was their hero. He represented real progress . Problem is he has let everyone down. People like me always knew that this man was not to be trusted not because he was black ,but because he is from the radical left. The real shame is that I believe that he has set back race relations for many years. His administration reaches new lows everyday. The American people (many well meaning )have been duped and they are now finally getting it . Some will never wake up or admit to waking up. In the end this President has been a disaster for everyone especially for those who looked up to him.
