I fell asleep during Scotland Yard on BBC and woke in time to continue watching the new Masterpiece Theater series The Paradise I love it ! ...true love.. intrigue.. courage...loyalty to a store , to a person and people. Its interesting that here is another British series about a British store.. I used to have jobs in the intellectual sphere mainly.. teaching, writing lesson plans etc but now I have begun working , selling in a chain where loyalty to the store is of prime importance and ingenuity in selling paramount. I do love the things that are sold and find it very enjoyable working there, greeting the public and helping them find what they need and want. I know its on a different level than the stores in the two BBC series.. first Selfridges and now The Paradise, but still I find parallels ..loyalty to the store and to one fellow workers.... Life certainly is interesting! I love meeting people and interacting with them and love the team spirit which is emphasized .. love my fellow workers. They dont pay that much but that doesnt matter at this point. I still have my private students and can paint my paintings, perhaps write some books. I love my church .. Life is good!
