I focus on the negative a lot in my more activist-type posts. Im trying to consciously do better about that. So heres one with much more positive vibes. Thanks to all my friends who have made an effort to be more inclusive and welcoming to me or any other trans person you have interacted with. Thank you the small few of you who have made an effort to respect my pronouns, or who have taken me aside and asked me about my pronouns. Thank you to the women in my life who have invited me to participate in girl-time type events. And a special thank you to all the other trans people who Ive come to know for inspiring me, and reminding me that Im not alone in this and that while we have so much further to travel, we shoulder our burdens together.
