I for one try hard not to vent on FB, that is what phones are for, to call and bore your friends with your troubles. Today I am venting. I will not bore you with he said/she said. If anyone is considering becoming a caregiver - think long and hard. It is hard enough to watch someone you love become dependant, feeble and failing. Factor into this equation the verbal abuse you receive from them when you are trying to be helpful, watching out for their best interest always being the bad guy according to them- well stress! Life is full of stress, the day before New Years Eve my 22 yr. old furnance decided to take a dump. The repair man was able to put a bandaid on it (at a small fee) until he can get a new one installed. Along with a new furnance comes my new air conditionair because it is also 22 yr. old. This I can handel but when you have someone in your home that acts like a two yr. old, demands to be the center of the universe, never asks how you feel, thinks for you and everyone else. When they give you a gift and then constantly remind you how good they have been to you and you dont appreciate it. Tell you how to use the gift. Tell you that you are spoiled and selfish after you have taken them in, watched out for their well being, put your life on hold for them. Well stress to the max! I realize that all of those actions and words come from anger with their situation but enough is enough. I have vented, thankyou! I am now going to check myself into a nursing home - LOL! Seriously though, I will never expect, demand or burden my children with my old butt. I dont want them to end up resenting me - my motto is to end on a good note.
