I forgot this game even existed until I dug deep down into my history. This was one of my most favorite board games from back when it first came out. Played it all the time when I got it for Christmas at age 7. You must move your men up a mountainous trail on the game in search of treasure or something of that sort without making a wrong move and getting in the way the games antagonist, Tornado Rex, the legendary monster with the ability to spin around like a tornado and plow right through anything and anyone in his path. When set off, Tornado Rex comes spinning out of his cave at the top of the mountain and continues to sweep up and knock any of the players men in his way off the trail until he finally comes to the bottom of the mountain. The creatures game function is simply a transparent plastic spinning top with his picture stuck inside it, that you hook and wind up on this little launcher inside the little cave, and then you press a button just above the caves roof to release the top sending it in a well-balanced spin that continues from top to the very bottom. The games pegs are shaped to human figure and very light so that they are sent flying with ease when Tornado Rex plows right into them. Tornado Rex is one of the most unusual and bizarre-looking characters I have ever seen. He makes me think of a cross between the Looney Toons Tasmanian Devil and the yeti (the abominable snowman). But this game was one of my most favorite things in my earliest childhood days, back before electronic games and video games started to replace these classic board games. This game is truely a classic. Made by the Parker Brothers co. Loved the commercial to this game too, as what Im sharing here right now.
