I found a Romione head canon i did a while ago! There lying on the table of the Gryffindor common room, was single piece of parchment, a letter, with Hermione’s name written in a messy scrawl. Hermione was not the one to first come across the letter, the person that found it was none other than a red haired girl. Ginny Weasly, she was such a great friend of Hermione’s she didn’t read the letter. She did something even nicer, she pocketed the letter in the hopes of delivering it to her, before some untrusted hands got hold of it! Ginny continued with her normal routine, going to classes, meeting friends, even harry once in the library where they stole a secret kiss. It wasn’t until lunch time, when Ginny entered the noisy over crowded great hall where she finally saw Hermione sitting, chatting with Ron and harry. She quickly hurried over to Hermione dodging in and out of the crowd, weaving through a group of Hufflepuff girls standing around discussing the Justin Finch-Fletchey’s great traits. Like she wanted to hang around listening to that, Ginny hurried on. She finally reached Hermione. Ginny, secretly passed the note into Hermione’s hand, and whispered, “I found this on the table closest to the fire in the common room. I think it’s from Ron, by the look of the handwriting.” With that Ginny, sat next to Hermione and helped herself to a decent serving of stew. Hermione shoved the letter in her pocket and turned to continue her conversation with harry. It so happened to be about charms homework. A boring thing, that only harry and Ron would sit through her constant chatter about. But that didn’t stop them from pulling faces at each other when Hermione’s back was turned. In charms later that day, Hermione finally opened the letter. It read. Hermione meet me in the room of requirement midnight. Ron. Hermione couldn’t help smiling and thinking about Ron for the rest of the lesson. Midnight was such a long time away. She kept on thinking of what he was planning, a secret study session, a surprise, like a book, a new quill, a kiss? She couldn’t think what he would do. She could not predict this side of Ron, the romantic, sweet no jerkish side of him! Midnight finally arrived, harmony, snuck into the boys dormitory, since girls are allowed and trusted in there, she crept over to Harry’s four-poster and dug the invisibility cloak out form the pile of junk found under there. She wasn’t going to go out there unprepared where she could be caught by a teacher, it was the last thing she wanted. She crept through the castle meeting no one but filch whom she quickly sidled past without being caught. She finally arrived at the room of requirement. She soon found Ron, sitting on a checked blanket with a midnight candlelit picnic. How romantic, Hermione felt her heart skip a beat. This is the sweetest thing that Ron had done for her yet! She couldn’t help feeling warm and loved from this small gesture. Hermione and Ron sat for a nice candlelit dinner, they talked about anything and everything. It was a pleasant evening for them both. It was a time where they could be themselves not hiding from the suspicious eyes of their fellow peers. Where they could let their love grow and blossom. Hermione sat there, leaning into Ron’s chest listening to his heartbeat as he whispered in her ear how much he loved her. Hermione could sit there for hours like this, but the moment couldn’t last for long. Ron gently brought Hermione round where he kissed her for the second time in his life, but never the last. They broke apart looking deeply into each other’s eyes. Hermione was sad that the kiss had to end so soon. But of all things to happen, guess who walked in at that time. Breaking one of the few and special times that Ron and Hermione had together. None other than… Neville Longbottom. “What are you doing here?” asked Neville as he saw Hermione and Ron, suddenly jump apart, Ron tripping over the blanket and falling into the half eaten chocolate cake. “We could ask you the same thing," answered Hermione. “I was just looking for Trevor I have lost him, the last time I saw him was here.” “We haven’t seen him, now Neville haven’t you tried the library or the great hall?” asked Ron, standing up, brushing crumbs off his clothes. “No, I think I better go try, and don’t worry I won’t tell anyone.” With that Neville continued out the door and Ron and Hermione stood there in an awkward silence not knowing what to do, before Ron decided they should get back to the common room and get some rest, because they didn’t want to sleep through any of their classes.
