I got an email about an competitive internship developing and researching defense technology at the Applied Research Labs. I met the criteria for consideration, but looking at the application makes me feel like a little man and reaffirms that i really need to beef up my programming skills. I think im going to officially take programming classes, beginning this summer with python and continuing on to C/C++ in fall. ARL:UT staff conduct research and development activities for government agencies, primarily the Department of Defense. There are active research programs in ocean acoustics, sonar technology, electromagnetics, satellite physics, computer sciences and other subjects. ARL:UT provides research opportunities for UT students who are U.S. citizens and who are interested in furthering their knowledge of their chosen majors. Sounds too bad ass.
