I got an email from longmont humane society today… I get A LOT of emails from shelters weekly, its terrible, but this boy really caught my eye for some reason… I am looking for a foster that is able to deal with his issues. Supplies and medical bills will be paid for. I am guessing with his issues, it will be a LONG term situation… He was originally adopted from us several years ago, but was returned in June. He was made available for adoption but then contracted Ringworm in early July. He has been in a foster home for the past few months being treated for ringworm, but has had a very hard time fully getting over it. He currently has one negative fungal culture, and is asymptomatic. His larger issue is bladder stones that are not resolving with a special diet, and then a recurring UTI to boot. He is a super sweet kitty who should do well with both cats and dogs. But because of his recurring issues and his age, he is no longer an adoption candidate for us. We are hoping to be able to get him into a rescue situation who may have better options for him, and be able to let him have a bit more space to roam, as he has been mostly confined to a kennel following his RW diagnosis. We are hoping to have a place for him by Friday 10/31, so please let me know if you are able to take him on!
