I got up too late and 15 minutes down the road I had to turn around and head back home to collect the camera! Thought I was so well organized, nope ;-( Finally got to the market with about 1 hr to spare...not long enough to meet everyone and chat about their amazing produce. This was the first time I have actually REALLY taken the time to chat about the nitty gritties of what I was standing in front of. I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH FARMERS MARKETS and the producers. Coal Creek Farmers Market has turned out to be my Baptism and I am a BELIEVER. Lol! I just wish I had had more time to chat with everyone because by the time I had explored 1 and 1/2 rows the market was over! No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I still had about a dozen stalls to devour. So the last 10 minutes at the Coal Creek Farmers Market I spent snapping folks Stalls and not getting a chance to chat to many of the stallies face to face...perhaps that was a good thing as I had dived into some fresh pickled garlic from The Strawbale Farm Stall OMG! Walking past Darren and Glenices produce i had to stop and taste...Garlic Jam? Ok, here I was about to learn something new! Roasted Garlic and Caramelised Onion Jam tasted delicious. So this you spread on toast like vegemite? I naively asked. I think Darren nearly fell over Lol! No, thats not how you do it I found out. It goes on crackers with cheese and a glass of Vino..ah, yes. Now THAT sounds like me, better give me a jar Lol! Now what else can I buy? So apologies to those folk I didnt get to chat to but here are some pictures of your great stalls and produce.
