I grew up in a neighborhood called Hog Alley. Our corners are occupied with either a bar or restaurant(world famous Radastas).As a young teenager, I hung out at the Galleria, the Grind and Teen Beach Club. We grew up fishing, turtling,and playing on the levee behind my house. We went to movies a Lakeside cinema where Lowes now is. Walk one way to the parades on Vets, walk the other to St. Paddys. We went to the batting cage and go cart track on the Service Rd. I grew up with kids named Mouth of the South, Dago, Sic-D, JRock, Roach, etc. The list could go on. But this is why , Im so Metairie !!! And will forever be High on the Hog.
