I grew up playing basketball and remember my dad giving me some - TopicsExpress

I grew up playing basketball and remember my dad giving me some great advice about playing defense: Always look at their belly button. They can do fancy tricks with the ball and fake looks with their head, but they cant go anywhere without their belly button. In the month of October were talking #unmasked. So it only seemed appropriate to focus on the one part of ourselves that cant be manipulated--our core. WHAT we do or HOW we do it only describes us...it doesnt define us. Our core is WHO we are. Its the part of us that is written by His hand and engraved in our DNA. The truth is that we were all made from goodness and from love. Because our Creator is the giver of good and the father of love. Allowing Him to become your identity also allows Him to become your core. And you cant go anywhere without your [core]. Notice in this exercise that your partner is throwing your legs in different directions. You dont get to decide which way they fall. But your core allows them to return to the center. In a world that is constantly pushing us in different directions, we have to remember our core. We have to remember WHO we are. You made me and formed me with your hands. Give me understanding so I can learn your commands Psalms 119:73
