I had a couple of firsts happen to me today while decorating. The first small incident that happened was while I was decorating a mantle. I had just out the final touches on my masterpiece and was getting off the ladder when the entire mantle fell off the fireplace. Oh yes I let out a small yell. The home owner quickly put the mantle back in place and smiled so nicely at me and said oh thats my husbands fault he didnt finish attaching it. After I calmed my heart beat back to normal I cleaned up the mess and started over only to have the mantle fall again. This time I waited for her husband to screw it to the wall. Then tonight Im decorating another very large talk tree. Im standing at the top of my 10 foot ladder only to look across and see a precious red head standing at the top on the other side of the ladder. She said, mommy I did it I help you! She did it alright-SCARED ME TO DEATH! Time for bed.
