I had some thoughts earlier today, and before some of you jump up - TopicsExpress

I had some thoughts earlier today, and before some of you jump up and yell, thats not an uncommon occurrence. It was early and Id just heard about what had happened in Paris and I had mixed feelers. I dont normally hold a great deal of sympathy for the French. I have my reasons. Politically they have been among the first to condemn us (U.S.) since the Korean Crisis, and in all the military or police actions where the U.S. has taken the lead, whether by U.N. or NATO assignment, the French have bowed out. Since Mr. DeGaulle, fell from grace and passed on, the whole country has turned into a cesspool for the European Continent. To me it appears to be a steady decline since the 1960s. While we (U.S.) continue to subsidize their piddling human rights efforts. They continue to allow Islamists and Islamic Extremists to seek asylum in their country. They have an almost non-existant no-fly list and the bad guys can carry virtually any hideable weapon onto an aircraft. We had a presence there today when they grabbed the clowns who pulled the stunt in Paris. Were they welcome today? Yes. Were they welcome yesterday? Oh hell No. They want our wisdom and expertise now. But not when it would have stopped this tragedy. My well known, and very vocal opinion for the French is You guys allowed it to happen, You continue to allow the free entry and egress of the Islamic Extremists and Islamists and this sort of incident will continue to happen. You guys need to stand up for yourselves and start fighting back and stop waiting for the Brits, and us (U.S.) to bail their sorry asses out again. They have a sorry history of fighting back and protecting themselves, (WW-1 & WW-2). Thats my rant for today. Think about it. The target this morning was what we call a soft target meaning it had no serious internal or external security guards. Any of us qualify as such, in our shopping centers, schools and churches think about it, you wont like it a bit, think about the extreme gun restriction laws in France. They didnt stop these shooters...
