I had the honor of accepting a donation from American Legion Post 32 here in Longmont of 3 flags to fly at OMP for special occasions such as the open cabin day this coming July 20 and weddings. My mother married my step-dad there in 1988 and the flags were flying, but were lost over time. The Legion Honor Guard made the presentation at the park and were very impressed with what we have accomplished in such a short time. Some of them never even knew OMP existed and the beautiful Victory garden was unknown to others. It would never have happened without the support and faith that the volunteers and all of you have given. May these flags extend our pride in our community and this beautiful park. Come celebrate the first flag raising if you can. Thank you to all and a special thank you to the American Legion Post 32 for all the help and their gift.
