I had the honor of attending Casey Begleys funeral yesterday in Letcher County. Dozens of people filled her home church and many more were standing outside. Family members told me over the span of the last three days, hundreds of people came to pay their respects to this special young woman. The thing that really surprised me was the amount of young people, presumably her many friends, that were in attendance. You could really tell she had made an impact on many lives. Family and friends released pink balloons in her honor before the Letcher County sheriffs department escorted Casey to her final resting place. I was able to shoot some video of those events on my phone, but waited to post until I had permission from the family to share it. Rest in peace, Casey. I know you will definitely be missed.
