I has been a busy week for me! Watched Evelyn(almost 4 yrs old) and Emma(just turning 2) this week while their regular sitter was on vacation. Spent Monday and Wednesday at their house then Tuesday and thursday here. they can be a hand full at times but I love spending time with them! Thursday while Evelyn was at pre school, Emma and I did 20 lbs of potatoes for the freezer--10 lbs of french fries and 10 of potatoes quartered for roasts or just plain boiled potatoes. Emma handed me the potatoes and I cut them up! We then counted out 30 bowls of candy so that Evelyn and I could fill the trick/treat bags so they are now ready! I was tired every night! but loved every day with them! Today I did some phone calling--couldnt get to online banking at either bank so called them and got it all worked out. Still couldnt get my comcast online account set up so another long call to them! while on the phone and waiting for the internet to log me in, I told the lady my blast speed was way slow! when we were done, she connected me to tech support and I think we have the slow issue dealt with--at least these people were nice! then called my Doctor, I was suppose to have a follow up the day after Dales heart attack--had just be diagnosed with diabetes--had to miss that appt so decided I really need to do the follow up--appt set, cant get in until Dec 22nd--oh well no big deal. I have been having some eye problems--they get so fuzzy at night and sometimes during the day so called shopko(Debbie and Al go there and are very happy with them) and they had an open appt today at 3 so eyes checked-just starting to get a cataract on the left eye so that is why that one is more blurry. a slight change to decrease power for distance--this change do the changes the cataract makes on the eye lense--and a slight increase in the bifocal power to help make things a little sharper. glasses ordered and will be here next week. Hoping that helps. Most of what I do is close work, reading, computer and card making. He said I need very good lighting when I am doing the card making for close work. I asked about an ott light and he said he has one and he recommends them, it provides more light so it penetrates the cataract better. No need for surgery at this time and he said it will probably be a few years before it is needed. Tomorrow is Emmas birthday party so will be in lanark again tomorrow. I need to go work on getting the garden done for the season--I think I went to the garden maybe about 5 or 6 times all summer--needless to say it did not do well at all! wishing you all a great weekend--weather here is suppose to be in the 60s all weekend so looking forward to some outside time! What a blessed week I have had spending time loving and playing with our girls!
