I hate to say this about Chernobyl. It has never been reported by Mainstream Media in the United States, as far as I know. But a woman I know in the United States - she was my mothers maid, then my aunts - who had a mother and sister in Chernobyl said they called her right after the disaster. They called to say goodbye because the accident had left all the food contaminated and quickly caused radiation sickness. They said that from their apartment window, they could see a big pit in the city square being dug to throw food and corpses. They did not expect to live long and were already very nauseous. The woman told my aunt who told my mother who told me. I never heard anything about their surviving. So sad, but probably true. https://youtube/watch?v=dS3WvKKSpKI
