I have 2 things to vent about today & if what I say pisses anybody off so be it, I dont care. But this one hits close to home with the Autism. With 2 precious little boys in my family that has been diagnosed with Autism this makes me madder than hell. I cant believe that a teacher would do this to a child let alone a child that cant speak. I guess she thought that no one would find out but you got caught red-handed by the principal. I dont blame this mother for being mad, she should be & the teacher should never be able to teach again but yet she is already at another school. If it bothered her so much that this little boy was picking his nose then she should have just turned her head. And I wish I had a $1 for every time I have heard a teacher say your child doesnt pay attention in class so you need to make an appointment with the doctor to get him/her some medicine. Dont get me wrong, there are some great teachers out there. Matter of fact one of those great teachers is Cathy Floyd Weast, (she had Jake in her class) but I guess they dont come like that anymore, one that cares for the children and teaches them the things they need to know to get through life & doesnt mind spending extra time with them. (I guess that is getting to be a thing of the past). So if you are one of the teachers out there that cant handle children with or without disabilities or you think that they need medication so YOU can get through YOUR day then you need to find another profession because these kids & especially kids with any kind of disability dont need teachers like you. I hope the other school she went to isnt Mt. Pleasant.
