I have a little bit of good news to share, but before I do that I want to say that I feel like I need to apologize for talking so much about this all the time of late, but this staying on the right track with exercising and eating right is tough stuff, and its especially tough during the holidays, with food, and good food at that, always being in your face. Anyway, before I go on, I just want to say thank you so much for your kind words and comments during this struggle of mine. Your encouragement and kindness means so much, and I truly am so sorry if I annoy you with all this talk. Thats certainly not my intention. I guess Im just trying to keep making right decisions for myself and my health, and its always on my mind. Please know that I WILL be scaling it back a bit...no pun intended. LOL. So...on with my story. A couple years back I attended a Christmas production at the Full Gospel Tabernacle Church (Fgt Church here on Facebook), and wore a new pair of pants that were a little too snug in the waist to that production. Well, you can imagine my horror when part way through the production, while sitting in the pew, my pants button decided it wanted to make a mad dash for freedom and it blasted off like it was headed to Jupiter, never to be spotted again. Moment of silence, please...poor button. Needless to say, I was absolutely mortified. You cant begin to imagine the horror at trying to get up and get out of there at the end of the show, with my zipper and my pants struggling against me, me trying to keep them up, and them wanting to fall to my ankles. It was a horror show. Truly it was. I actually wrote about that here on Facebook as part of my healing process, LOL, so if this story sounds vaguely familiar, yes...you read this much of it before. Well, to make this long story even longer, as time went on after that night, I kept eating and eating and my waistline kept growing and growing, and at my worst I was fourteen inches bigger around the waist than I was the night my button flew to Jupiter. Well, I was upstairs just now and I found those pants in a bag, and I decided to try them on. Yes, sadly they are still buttonless, but thats okay because today, button or no button, I need to wear a belt with them just to keep them up! Im going to wear those pants to Lakemores Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony tonight. I dont care that theyre buttonless...I dont care that Im still fat! Im going to wear those pants tonight with pride because Im on the right track and I plan on staying the course, praise God. With God, all things are possible, folks, and Im so thankful for that! If you see me smiling tonight, friends and family, you may not know why, but I can promise you any smile going forward will be due in part to my buttonless pants!
