I have a question on bits. Right now Im using a Myler level 2 d ring snaffle on my endurance mare. Most days its fine and no issues however occasionally when I am riding with a group of higher energy horses then my whoa seems to sort of disappear. I love a good gallop but warp speed is something else. Ring work isnt effective as she hates working in the ring (so do I) and she has more than enough whoa in there (too much) I would like to stick in the Myler family but not sure which one is a good choice. A Kimberwick has also been suggested but I dont know a lot about those either. I am not looking for something crazy just something that would give me a bit more leverage. And yes I do use the one rein stop. Anybody want to weigh in???
