I have a very dear friend who shared with me a video of Eli Soriano translating the Bible from Spanish to English and Soriano saying, See? we are only quoting from the Bible, so everything we say here is solely our take of Gods word....Sola Scriptura. And my friend saying, his understanding with the God of the Bible became clearer. My advice to him was: Good. Keep listening to him. But if one day you find something that doesnt seem right in your conscience, come back, tell me about it and Ill explain it to you. Yes, you are in the right direction. There is nothing wrong in expounding the word of truth....because they are Gods words...especially when you rightly divide it the way God intended it to be. But there is a world of a difference when you quote the word verbatim and misapply its intentions for your own purpose. But wait! The Gospel of Jesus Christ should be the center and core of every preaching. Jesus Christ should be magnified and should be understood that He got incarnated on this earth, died a criminals death, but is now sitting at the right hand of the Father. There is only one Gospel and that is that. Anything else is the pleasure of mans play with its word. The central theme of the Gospel is Jesus Christ. All preaching should be in this manner....as if the world will collapse this very minute. There is no time. If you hear anything about the word of God, did it create a moral remorse on your being being the disobedient person you are....like Adam? Did the preaching of the preacher create a great burden on your soul to realize, that God in all His mercy has forgiven you of your sins? And that Jesus has died for this and sin is no more? That repentance and baptism can snowball great power in you to become the sons of God rather than a bastard? Ye are of the devil Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it Yes you. You are the child of the devil if you dont hurry on to regeneration. Do you think Christ is speaking to any other person? He is talking to you. You are an unregenerated person. You are vile. You are the scum of the earth. You stink of hell. You are the sinner that you are. You deserve hell. And you do nothing about it? Well good luck.
