I have always been amazed by the way every Israeli diplomat, - TopicsExpress

I have always been amazed by the way every Israeli diplomat, journalist, organization member, especially media, communicates about the conflict, on TV. Every word, vocabulary, grammar, the manner of speaking, everything, is scarily the same. Especially, CNN, BBC, and the Israeli media. So, I researched, and today I chanced upon a leaked something called The Israel Project’s 2009 GLOBAL LANGUAGE DICTIONARY, a document that is confidential. Newsweek had published it, but now its removed. Ive downloaded it. Did you know? Founded in 2003, THE ISRAEL PROJECT (TIP) is a non-partisan American educational organization dedicated to informing the media and public conversation about Israel and the Middle East. A one-stop source for detailed and accurate information. TIP provides facts to press, policymakers and the public on issues affecting Israel and the Middle East, the Jewish people and America’s interests in the Middle East. How to “communicate effectively in support of Israel.” TIP has its headquarters in Washington DC. For people who are confused, let me explain. This organization, in a way, provides assistance to Americans and Israeli people (even Government officials and policy makers of both sides) and teaches them about Israel. So, is it a Tourism promoting organization? No. One of the projects of TIP, informs people about Israel, and teaches Israelis and Americans, on how to portray Israel in front of the world, especially, as it says, in front of Europeans. One such material in the TIPs program is The Global Language Dictionary- majorly dedicated to the ways one should converse in public, while talking about the Israel-Palestine conflict. And there i found answers to my curiosity. The words that these people use- projects like TIP teach them. TIP calls them Words that Work. Trust me, its appalling. It teaches how to use which word, where, how, when, and how to frame sentences to portray Israels actions more effectively and create empathy. So, the next time you hear words or sentences like, Every country has the right to defend itself, No country would tolerate.., etc, from Netanyahu, or even John Kerry, you should know what are they reading. Maybe, while sitting in each others lap. The Table of content is appalling, and the 116 page booklet starts with: On behalf of our board and team, we offer this guide to visionary leaders who are on the front lines of fighting the media war for Israel. We want you to succeed in winning the hearts and minds of the public. We know that when you achieve your mission that you are helping both Israel and our global Jewish family. Thus, we offer these words with our sincerest wishes for your every success. May your words help bring peace and security to Israel and the Jewish people! Sincerely, Jennifer Laszlo Mizrahi Founder & President
