I have always voted, however the older I get, the more I realize that voting in a state like Kentucky doesnt really feel like you are voting for anyone who represents how you feel, or cares quite frankly.. Kentucky is so far behind the times and is the top of the worst in the nation on so many fronts. Its a state where laws are based on the bible and the good ol boy system runs strong. We have our grandparents and parents generation who vote for political parties like sports teams and so many of our generation follows suit. We have a very old candidate in office which knows nothing about what we need, nor does his job, but he thinks hes owed a political office... We have a sheriff that is so crazy on catching hippies growing pot (which is legal in some states now, and completely non addictive and never killed anyone) BUT we have one of the highest number of meth labs in the entire nation AND a increasingly bad pill epidemic.. It just feels like voting doesnt mean much anymore.. Voting use to mean something.. People have died for our right to vote.. How did we let it get to this point??
