I have been challenged to post 3 positive thoughts per day for 7 days and to challenge at least 1 other person to do the same. I want to challenge Mary Martin today. Positive Thoughts for Day 6 1) Flipping through the channels today, I found the first 2 episodes of the show “Batman”. Although I tried to recall how excited I was when the show was on, I struggled with the memory because I was too busy laughing! It really felt good. When is the last time you REALLY laughed out loud? Not a weak little smile or a polite little chuckle, but a big loud laugh that starts somewhere in the middle of your belly and bubbles out of your wide-open mouth? Do yourself a favor. I recommend you find a reason to have a good laugh. 2) But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. – 1 Corinthians 2:9 3) Dreams of a Dieting Fraud by J.Y. D. Rose Longing…Yearning…no, Coveting… Puddles of rich, thick brown gravy abundantly overlapping peaks in mountains of buttered mashed potatoes. Crispy, golden coated fried chicken slyly beckoning for taste buds to come closer, come closer. Comfort remembered… Tender brown mushrooms buoyantly floating in a shiny sea of butter and wine. Creamy, lutescent cheese sauce tenderly caressing each delicate curve of macaroni pasta. Grilled, succulent hamburger interrupting, boldly barging between fluffy layers of fresh baked bun. Comfort sacrificed… Fragrant, piquant garlic softly whispering within the confines of pepperoni and cheese on a golden crust. Slabs of ribs slathered in sauce seductively draping over the edges of the plate, a whisper away from the fries and slaw. Warm, fluffy rolls lightly touching - only slathers of melted butter to cover their mounds. Comfort denied…. Morsels of moist chocolate cake delicately nestling between thick layers of gooey, chocolate frosting. Small streams of steam rising from hot fudge lovingly kissing French vanilla ice cream. Comfortless… Diet day three
